5 stages of filtration:
1st stage – Microfiltration: Remove sediment, rust, sand, and other solids
2nd stage – KDF: Remove chlorine, hydrogen sulfide, microorganisms, scale and water-soluble heavy metals such as lead, mercury, and iron; kill bacteria and inhibit the growth of bacteria, algae, and fungi.
3rd stage – Microfiltration: Separate KDF and Nutshell activated carbon
4th stage – Nutshell Activated Carbon: Further remove chlorine, organic contaminants, and etc
5th stage – Microfiltration: Remove the carbon grains
INSTALLATION
1. Remove the showerhead from the shower arm
2. Screw the ECO-503 Shower filter onto the shower arm
3. Screw the showerhead onto the ECO-503shower filter
4. If leaks appear tighten,reinstall or use Teflon tape
5. Do not use with Shut-off valve
OPERATION
BEFORE ENTERING THE SHOWER
1. Activate the filter by turning the shower-water to “full-hot’’
2. Cool to desired temperature before entering the shower. To enure over 95% free-chlorine removal. replace the model Filter Cartridge every. 6 month or 5000 gallons. Whichever comes first
MAINTENANCE
Perform the following procedures periodically in order to ensure proper filtration performance and water flow:
2. Remove and reverse the ECO-503 Cartridge ,Check that the O-Rings located inside each of housing, Halves are properly seated to the O-Rings will hold them in place.)
3. Close by screwing filter housing Halves clockwise.
4. This procedure may be repeated as necessary
ECO-503 CARTIDGE REPLACEMENT:
Replace every 6 months according to individual water conditions by performing the following procedure:
1. Open by unscrewing filter housing Halves, counter clockwise
2 Remove and replace the used filter with the new. Check that the O-Ring located inside each of the Shower Filter housing Halves is properly seated in the O-Ring Channel.(Note: A small amount of Vaseline applied in the O-Ring Channel will hold the O-ring in place)
3. Close by screwing filter housing Halves clockwise.
REMINDER
Is designed to remind you to change the filter cartridge 6 months
1. Use a pen to till out the installation and replacement date
2. Peel sticker off of backing and apply to a corner of a dry mirror (or any glass surface)
